Abstract
A comprehensive portable test set of acoustic Doppler current profilers has been designed. This test set is capable of generating a pair of simulated reverberent doppler signals with arbitrary shear and amplitude profile. The design approach taken, and results from tests conducted using a prototype of the test set are presented. These tests were conducted on a 1200 kHz RDI ADCP, a 150 kHz RDI ADCP, and a 300 kHz Ametek Straza ADCP.
