Abstract
An evaluation of the characteristics for ecological sustainability makes medicinal, aromatic, and other economically important plants more important. It is not possible to place a price on these services, but need to be protected as economic indicators (Costanza and Farber in Ecol Econ 41:367–373, 2002, Farber et al. in BioScience 56:121–133, 2006). The work on the conservation of the economically important medicinal and other plants in this context has big priority. It is also necessary in the conservation efforts to look for the scope of cooperation for these plants with the local people. A protection of genetic resources in this direction is the most urgent question (Svetlana et al. in Genetic resources, chromosome engineering, and crop improvement. CRC Press, Boca Raton, pp 207–220, 2012, Ozturk et al. in Drug discovery from herbs—approaches and applications. DAYA Publishing House, New Delhi-India, pp 327–367, 2017a). Sustainable conservation of genetic resources from our natural wealth and for future research is also very important (Ozturk et al. in Sabkha ecosystems vol IV cash crop halophytes biodiversity & conservation.
