Abstract
Cognitive radio (CR) has revolutionized the next- generation communication technologies due to its dynamic characteristics and features. CR network provides cognitive behavior that enhances network performance in terms of data rates, bandwidth, latency, and throughput. This chapter provides insight into the realization of CR technology for wireless sensor networks and discusses related issues about the integration of both technologies.
