Abstract
This study includes the morphological features of the ileal Peyer's patches at different ages of apparently healthy camels, sheep and cattle. The ileal Peyer's patches were represented by cup-shaped structures. The lymphatic nodules were smaller in size and fewer in number in adult camels, compared with young camels. In Najdi sheep, the lymphatic nodules of the Peyer's patches were elongated or rod shaped with relatively wide germinal centres. In cattle, lymphatic nodules were relatively similar to that of sheep. In adult sheep and cattle the lymphatic nodules were fewer and smaller in size. The relevance of the Peyer's patches histology to its immunological role is discussed.
