Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the sales trends of automotives through data mining of past transactions. The study is based on analysis of sales of different models of a popular car manufacturer in Pakistan. Data was collected through one sales outlet for the past two years for these models. It was analyzed using statistical tools. The result of this study can be used to establish the possibilities of sales of a particular model in a specific month and period of the year. Other car manufacturers and sales agents to predict their future sales in a specific period of the year could use the same methodology.
