Abstract
New technologies can accompany the follow-up of frail people without being invasive or stigmatized. To this question of societal stake where the need for a discrete and ambulatory follow-up is requested by the gerontologists, our research proposes the development of a new system of indoor localization based on the ultrasonic sensor. In this paper we proposed a system to estimate the position of the resistant without any device carried by the person to localized. The developed system consists of three ultrasonic sensors for measuring distances. Subsequently, a localization method is used based only on estimated distances. The Multilateration method should be used to identify the position of resident. Implementation of our system requires 2.67% PLU of a nexys4 device. In the first scenario, the distance measured between the sensor node and the resident is evaluated. In addition, the position of the person is estimated. The experimental results demonstrate that the suggested system can reduce the localization error with respect to the other classical algorithms.
