Abstract
The courses and their learning outcomes, in any study plans are designed to ensure achieving the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs). Currently, the numbers of hours for courses' topics are distributed on ad-hoc basics, based on the expertise and experience of teachers. This paper studies how to effectively determine the required number of teaching hours for the topics in each course to ensure achieving the Course-Learning Outcomes (CLOs). It proposes a model that assigns a weight for each CLO based on its contribution to PLOs. Some preliminary experiments have been conducted on the proposed model show the effectiveness of the model and encourages for more studies and investigations for the proposed model.
