Abstract
In this work, we present a distributed framework for provision of reliability to visual data in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs). Individual sensor nodes cooperate In a pair-wise fashion, to allocate processing resources within the network which are then used to partially, decode the incoming data as it traverses the multi-hop network. We show that the proposed framework outperforms the conventional end-to-end channel coding, by considerable margin in terms of energy efficiency for desired multimedia content delivery.
