Abstract
Conference Title: 2014 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE) Conference Start Date: 2014, Dec. 8 Conference End Date: 2014, Dec. 10 Conference Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia Simulation of a tunable Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) employing digitally tunable capacitor (DTC) is presented and compared with an AMC employing varactor diodes. The DTC is used because it has some advantages such as linearity properties and low parasitic loss. A validation experiment is presented using a transmission line analogue. All simulations and measurements results show that the DTC may provide a route to low loss reconfigurable AMC.
