Abstract
The technology of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has been used to speed up the tracking process as well as to increase the efficiency of the product management process in various industries. In developing RFID solution, the core of all the questions is how to design high performance and suitable RFID tags for practical applications. In this paper, we propose a looped-bowtie RFID tag antenna design for metallic objects. The tag can be directly attached on metallic objects, and yet it provides a long read-range ability, which is highly desirable in practical applications. The design concept for the tag presented in the following sections along with the simulation and measurement results for the same.
