Abstract
The provision of education to children and youth is crucial to all the countries of the world and guaranteeing students' academic success is called for to satisfy the increasing demands of an ever-evolving global economy and to enhance general impact on the learning and growth of students in all main aspects such as social, emotional, and personal the well being and life quality of every individual. Academic as well as non-academic factors have a development as many studies have revealed that these variables may be utilized as predictors. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to identify the level of social connectedness among 300 university students at university of Dammam. In addition, the purpose of the study was to examine the differences' of the social connectedness level based on their gender and age. The results of the study indicated that 35% of respondents are in the moderate level in total, 25% fall into the low level and only 40% fall into the high level of social connectedness. Therefore, outcomes of the study describe some characteristics on the prospective students to assist in providing coaching and mentoring by insuring students suited to their needs and desires for their study.
