Abstract
A reflective metasurface exhibiting both cross-polarization conversion (CPC) and linear-to-circular polarization (LP-to-CP) conversion is presented in this paper. The proposed metasurface is composed of 45 degrees tilted T-shaped unit cell having a circular ring at its center. The proposed metasurface converts linearly-polarized wave into its orthogonal counterpart over two frequency hands; 6.2-9.7 GHz, and 15.5-16.5 GHz with more than 90% CPC efficiency. The metasurface also transformed linearly-polarized wave into circularly-polarized wave at frequency hands; 5.6-5.8 GHz and 11.5-14.5 GHz. The metasurface is insensitive to incident angles up to 30 degrees for both CPC and LP-to-CP conversion.
