Abstract
This paper presents an alternative technique for data hiding in grayscale and color images. This technique is an extension of already existing technique for binary images (CPT) [15]. This technique does not immediately hide the message inside the cover Instead it a kind of reformatting of the cover image in order to accomplish some conditions by which the required message would be extracted. This property gives a new look to hiding information in cover images. Experimental results for the proposed technique show high level of similarity between cover images before and after hiding in it. Examining data payload, embedding effectiveness, robustness, and complexity cost on the proposed technique shows good results. A modification to die technique is also suggested using the concept of entropy, as well as, the experimental results.
