Abstract
C-130 aircraft is considered as one of the most reliable military cargo aircraft around the world(12). Its popularity mainly rests with military users especially with the air forces around the world. Its airframe, engines, electric and instrumentation systems are considered as of critical importance due to its ability to operate from and to a variety of terrain and environmental conditions. During the same mission it might get exposed to takeoffs or landings at sub zero temperature at high altitude airbases as well as at elevated temperatures on airfields below sea level. This flexibility lays high demand on its systems to continuously give outstanding performance under all such conditions with least or limited maintenance requirements. Behavior of these systems has been analyzed on the basis of data collected over two years in this research; and findings have been established from comparative analysis of each system. The results are considered reasonably important for such aircraft operators as well as maintenance crew. It may also be used for prediction of maintenance costs and system spares requirements forecasting.
