Abstract
This paper presents a study of performances evaluation of lead-lag Power System Stabilizers 'PSSs' equipped with adaptive mechanisms performed on the basis of artificial intelligence techniques (neuronal networks, and neuro-fuzzy networks). These adaptive and intelligent PSSs with on-line self-tuned parameters have allowed a good damping of rotoric oscillations for various operating conditions and disturbances. Based on a linearized model of a multimachine power system, an optimized design of lead-lag PSSs has been performed using NSGA-II optimization technique.
