Abstract
Based on Grey system theory and experimental results, effects of five factors (inclusive of corrosion ratio of reinforcing steel, concrete strength, depth of concrete cover, reinforcement diameter and reinforcement type) on the bond strength between corroded steel bar and concrete were analyzed. GM (1, 1) was established to forecast the bond strength. It is shown that the predicted result is in good agreement with the test data. GM (1, 1) will break a new approach for the study on mechanical property of corroded reinforced concrete structure, which will provide a simple method for engineering in practice as well.
