Abstract
The present investigation developed an automatic system that permits to determine kinetic parameters and reaction mechanisms by using data from thermigravimetric tests (TGA) at dynamic temperature conditions. TGA results were analized according to the Van Krevelen and Scholmilch methods. For each method, fourteen equations of kinetic characterization were evaluated. The results were given in both graphical and numerical forms. From the interpretation of the results we are able to conclude that the developed system is a powerful tool at the kinetic characterization of compound materials, since it permits to obtain an objective appraisal of such behavior in polymer-filler systems. This automatic system was designed at first version in Mathcad for Windows and at present it is being developed in Quick C with graphic interphase in Visual Basic.
