Abstract
In this paper, we suggest to maximize the throughput of millimeter Wave (mmwave) Communications. The first approach consists to select the packet length that maximizes the instantaneous throughput. The second approach optimizes packet length in order to maximize the average throughput. Our results are valid for interference limited mmWave communications in the presence of an arbitrary number of relays. Instantaneous throughput maximization allows up to 5 dB gain with respect to fixed packet length as considered in previous papers. Average throughput maximization allows up to 2.5 dB gain with respect to fixed packet length.
