The CFD study shows that temperature profile, turbulent viscosity and heat transfer coefficient depend on spacing between the filaments and Reynolds number. The turbulence is noticed to be higher in the region in-between of the filaments and is least near the membrane surface. The spacer with a spacing of 6 mm is found to be of superior characteristics.
