Abstract
National grid is facing significant challenges because of increasing in power demand. New technologies developed based on clean energy to meet demands such as nano-grid, including photovoltaic PV systems. Nano-grid PV system based is used to maximize the grid efficiency in small-scale structures and reduce emissions in power plants. Due to high efficiency, simple architecture, low cost, and easy control, DC nano-grid has promising research platforms to integrate with small buildings/offices and use new DC appliances indicated in recent studies in order to increase the number of smart homes and create a clean environment. We purpose DC nano-grid system designed for offices at low voltage direct current LVDC supply concept, and it consists of LVDC buses supplying DC loads via power converters. Simulations using Matlab tool performed to study and design the LVDC nano-grid behavior. Experimental investigations and PCB's are realized to interface the dSpace tool to the hardware platform.
