Abstract
The Magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of La0.7Pb0.05Na0.25MnO3 shows a relatively high value of magnetic entropy change (Delta S-M) and important relative cooling power, making it a promising candidate for magnetic refrigeration. A recently proposed master curve behavior for the magnetic entropy change is also followed by this specimen and by other manganites such as La0.8Pb0.1MnO3 (LPMO) and La0.8Pb0.1Na0.1MnO3 (LPNMO). To determine the field dependence of the experimental Delta S-M, a local exponent n(T, H) was calculated.
