Abstract
You can hardly find a general E-Business textbook nowadays that does not include a Chapter on ethical, social & legal issues. This is truly justified since e-business is a fairly new discipline that needs to highlight relevant ethical issues. As modern technologies and different types of business transactions arise through the Internet medium, e-business becomes one of the more suitable courses for the discussion of ethical issues. This paper presents a different approach to introducing ethics to the students in an e-business course. Rather than presenting the typical textbook material on the topic, Islamic religious teachings, specifically sayings of the prophet Mohammed (Hadith), are presented to the students. These religious teachings are then related to today's common issues of ethical concerns as they relate to the e-business domain. We will show in this paper the motivation for using this approach, the level of students acceptance, and the attained benefits of such an approach.
