Abstract
For many applications, it is highly desired to have Frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) that have wide frequency ( 3:1) and angular responses (up to 65 degrees for both TE and TM polarizations) along with small ripples in the passband (similar to 1 dB), better than 10 dB attenuation in the specified stopband, and sharp roll-offs at the skirts of the transition regions. To the best of our knowledge, none the existing designs are able to achieve these highly challenging goals, and the objective of this paper to is to propose a new design which is able to meet all of these requirements.
