Abstract
Conference Title: 2015 National Conference on Recent Advances in Electronics & Computer Engineering (RAECE) Conference Start Date: 2015, Feb. 13 Conference End Date: 2015, Feb. 15 Conference Location: Roorkee, India Good absorption and minimum coating thickness are attracting the field of Radar Absorbing Materials (RAM) fabrication and commercialization. Single and double square Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) have been loaded over the multi-layered iron-zinc oxide composites for the enhancement of absorption and reducing the coating thickness at X-band. Simulations have been carried out for the development and loading of FSS which controls the absorption as well as radar cross section. A comparison is drawn for the microwave absorption performance of single layer, multi-layer, and multi-layered iron-zinc oxide composites loaded with FSS. The Reflection Loss (RL) value has been achieved -20.90 dB for single layer coating and it increased to -72.73 dB by loading of double square FSS on multi-layered iron-zinc oxide composite coating.
