Abstract
Conference Title: 2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON) Conference Start Date: 2015, Dec. 17 Conference End Date: 2015, Dec. 20 Conference Location: New Delhi, India In the last decade, there has been an increase in the development of devices for personal healthcare applications. In the present study, we report the development of a low-cost personal healthcare device capable of recording Electrocardiogram (ECG), Phonocardiogram (PCG) and body surface temperature. The reading from the device can be recorded in any computer with the help of a customized software. The saved data can be sent to a healthcare professional by email for getting medical help. The device can be useful for recording the vital parameters of the patient located in the remote area, where there is a scarcity of healthcare providers. Hence, the proposed device may be useful in improving the healthcare practice in the remote areas. The device is easy to handle and use.
