Abstract
Fabrication and development of the compact modules using SOFCs are promising for various electrical applications. Furthermore, both good electrochemical and high thermomechanical properties of the prepared ceramic devices are strongly required for the commercial system under quick start-up at low operating temperature. We are developing the new design of micro SOFC modules by using a novel approach of ceramic processing. Gd-doped CeO2 (GDC) based micro cells have been developed with assembling method of the cells. In this paper, we report the stacking of the micro SOFC modules that consisting of <2.0 mm in diameter cells into compact spaces.
