Abstract
This paper discussed the design of a dual-band harvester to efficiently handle a wide input power range while addressing the failure voltage issue in conventional rectifiers by operating a FET as a switch amongst low and high input powers. Designed for the two ISM bands of 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz, it achieved an RF-DC efficiency of more than 40 % over a wide-ranging of input power from -11 dBm to 25 dBm and -4 dBm to 21 dBm as well as a maximum power efficiency of 72% at 11 dBm and 67% at 15 dBm for the two respective bands, making it appropriate for Wireless Power Transfer applications.
