Abstract
Conference Title: 2018 IEEE/MTT-S International Microwave Symposium - IMS 2018 Conference Start Date: 2018, June 10 Conference End Date: 2018, June 15 Conference Location: Philadelphia, PA, USA A planar 3dB coupler featuring dual-polarization is presented based on a fused coupler and a mechanism of polarization selectivity. The polarization selectivity is illustrated through a periodic PEC wall. A full theoretical analysis is introduced for the design of a dually-polarized hybrid junction without using any optimization techniques. The introduced concept opens the doors for implementing any dual-polarization microwave component based on the polarization selectivity. A prototype is implemented at 30 GHz and showed an excellent agreement between both simulation and measurement results.
