Due to hardware limitations, computational efficiency is one of the biggest challenges in IoT's security. Iot based patient monitoring is a hot field of research now a day. This paper proposes a technique to remotely measure the ECG of a patient that may be near to a doctor or far from doctor. The main objective of research is to authenticate the patient using ECG based classification. For ECG Pyhsionet ECG-ID Database (IDDB) is utilized. For authentication template matching using Sum of Squared Difference (SSD) is used. Initial results of classification show promising future of the developed technique in the field of IoT security.
