Abstract
Conference Title: 2018 IEEE 5th International Conference on Engineering Technologies and Applied Sciences (ICETAS) Conference Start Date: 2018, Nov. 22 Conference End Date: 2018, Nov. 23 Conference Location: Bangkok, Thailand Uranium is a very common metal which is found in rocks and sea water. It is also found in the crust of earth. It is as common and zinc or tin. When uranium is at low level sand or rocks, it needs to be in a state that can be easily removed from the rocks or sand typically from its ore. This result that it must be in a mineral form so it is easily separated from its ore. The uranium resources that have been increased by at least one quarter is due to mineral exploration. Enrichment is to improve the quality if a material or increase its value, we have a few enrichment processes of uranium that are being discussed in the paper further. A few of the processes may be better or efficient than the other which is being discussed in the paper further. The processes that are being discusses are gaseous diffusion, AVLIS and MVIS separation and gas centrifuge. A part from these enrichment process there are a few more but since depending upon the cost, these the methods most preferred. Low enriched uranium is typically used in nuclear reactors and high enriched uranium is used in nuclear weapons.
