Abstract
This paper uses fuzzy logic methodology to perform a comparison between the different electricity power production options in Jordan. Our research is aimed to direct in the future the energy decision makers priority in Jordan. The results show in terms of costs and benefits that (1) solar electric conversion system is the best option, (2) wind electricity comes in second, (3) hydropower electricity comes in third, and fossil fuel is next and then nuclear electricity. Using solar, wind, and hydro-power options to produce electrical power in Jordan give solutions to problems facing Jordan from environmental issues to national economy to social benefits and safety problems. The results were compared to those obtained using neuro-fuzzy method, and found to be very consistent.
