Final year project (FYP) is of critical importance, as students have to achieve this last milestone to finish their degree. This paper presents the students' experiences with final year projects in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Rabigh (FCITR). On the basis of its findings, a prototype is developed using the open source technology to manage projects and guide the students.
