First a notched patch antenna is designed to obtain a high gain of 8.47 dB at 30 GHz. Then a circular pallet and copper crossed ribbons patch type frequency selective surf ace is designed and placed above the primary antenna to be used as partially reflective surface (PRS) to enhance its gain. The simulation results yield a14.3 dB realized gain. The cavity reflex antenna exhibits a good efficiency of 96.13% and sidelobe level(SLL) than-14dB.
