Abstract
E-learning is becoming a widely accepted method of learning and education in educational institutions and other organizations all over the world. Most of the countries have successfully adopted it and the other are striving to achieve success in modern technology. Learning a language is a complex and integrated process that involves the four language skills. E-learning is playing its effective role in learning a language by providing activities in each language skill in an innovative and motivating manner. It is clearly observed that e-learning language acquisition is better than traditional classroom in the era of technology. Picar (2004) discusses that intrinsic and extrinsic motivators affect students when participating in an online class. Intrinsic motivation is the completion of a task for the sense of mastery, competence and well being connected to the work done in class. The research focuses on finding out the impact of e-learning in terms of motivating the students to learn English language. The research is based on survey questionnaires for students at undergraduate level at Taif University English Language Centre (TUELC), KSA.
