Abstract
Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) suffer from low bandwidth and high propagation delay especially when heavily data (big data) to be transmitted. As a consequence, end to end delay and power consumption are high in such systems. Group of researchers at the University of Connecticut came up with a noval idea for minimzing the end to end delay and power consumption in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks. They plant a computer in the deepest layer for processing collected data. Then, the beneficial information gets transmitted from that computer to a surface gateway. In this paper, we discuss the idea of deploying more than one computer and come up with a framework that helps us determining the ideal number of computers needed. Therefore, We propose three different topologies to fulfill the requirements. A framework is proposed to find the ideal number of computers needed. We conduct simulations to show the merits of our system.
