Abstract
Conference Title: 2014 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting Conference Start Date: 2014, July 27 Conference End Date: 2014, July 31 Conference Location: National Harbor, MD, USA This paper presents a comprehensive distribution system planning model considering the plug-in electric vehicle (PEVs) charging demand accrued in the system over a long-term framework. A new probabilistic model for estimating PEV charging demand considering Time-of-Use (TOU) electricity prices is presented. The proposed distribution planning framework incorporates various energy supply options for Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) such as DG sources, substations and feeders. The impact of PEV charging demand on the plan decisions is presented. Test results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
