Abstract
The Coloured Two Dimensional Bar-codes C2DB is a two dimensional array of coloured dots, providing a machine readable codes that offer several advantages over the older generation of barcode. It has the capability of condensing high data density into a very small space, combined with its robustness to withstand damage and distortion. It has varying print tolerances in both the ''X'' and ''Y'' dimensions, allowing the selection of different module size using various resolutions of print and scan technologies. The C2DB code is able to store considerably more data in a Far smaller physical space; more than 24,000 Characters can be encoded in a 130 mm a 40 mm area. It is robust and tolerant of distortion, due to a built-in error correction and detection algorithms. Furthermore it remains readable after a greater deal of damage or distortion.
