Abstract
Conference Title: 2017 4th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS) Conference Start Date: 2017, Jan. 6 Conference End Date: 2017, Jan. 7 Conference Location: Coimbatore, India Password authentication systems can be used anywhere and at anytime where passwords are maintained in the central database. Systems are prone to attacks by intruders compromising the authentication. Password based authentication and key exchange protocols using a single server stores the sensitive user password where large user passwords are exposed. The proposed system is used to secure the system using two server architecture systems. The solution involves splitting password between two servers which provides basic security requirement using two server password authentication protocols. In this system the two servers are made public thereby users are allowed to access the two servers at a time. Thereby, the servers authenticate the users in two ways. Each of the two servers mutually authenticated each other and then authenticates the user. The numbers of clients (users) are increased and there is an overall performance improvement than the basic system with a secured data transfer.
