Abstract
The prevalent use of wireless networks has led to noteworthy development in security techniques that aim to protect information. The existing standard for exchanging a secret key of authenticating users and securing data transmission within EAP-TLS protocol relies on Public Key Infrastructure. This technique is secure only in case of limited computational power of eavesdropping. We accordingly propose a quantum extension of EAP-TLS which enables a cryptographic key exchange with the authentication of a remote client peer, with absolute security, ensured by the laws of quantum physics. A model checking approach based on PRISM tool is applied to check some security properties for the proposed scheme.
