Abstract
This paper investigates the capabilities of using multi-receiver configuration in GPS reflectometry (GPS-R) system for monitoring tropical storms. A forward model is presented, which incorporates the main parameters of the reflectometry system. The model is based on the wavpy C++ classes and is used to generate the delay Doppler maps (DDM). In addition, inverse problem analysis is conducted based on least square fitting approach, implementing a dictionary of simulated DDM data. Practical scenarios are considered, corresponding to various receiver numbers, height, and type to examine the potentials of this multi-receiver system in monitoring wind speed of tropical storms.
