Generation and transmission of 28 GHz millimeter-wave signal are reported from a simple and cost-effective self-injection-locked InAs/InP quantum-dash-laser based dual-wavelength source emitting in mid-L-band. Narrow-linewidth with low phase-noise of \sim -120 dBc/Hz and successful transmission of 2Gbps QPSK signal over 2 m wireless channel is demonstrated.
