Abstract

Astronomy & Astrophysics Physical Sciences Science & Technology
Based on measurements of sunspots groups at King Abdul-Aziz Solar Observatory (KAAUSO) 1985-1999, we determined the solar differential rotation during solar activity cycle No. 22 and part of 23. We found that the rotation rate for the sunspots groups is W =14.02 - 2.87 sin<^>2 f (deg/day), which is less than the rate of the individual sunspots that reduced from the same measurements by about 0.7%.
