Abstract
One of the important pillars of teaching is the ability, to get regular feedback on how well the students understand the course content. One approach to achieve this task, in an innovative way, is by exploiting the capabilities of modern mobile phones.
In this paper we present a Mobile service called Mobile Snapshot Response System (Mobile SRS) that uses camera-equipped 3G mobile phones to scan a QR code and resolve it into a URL which fetches an assessment page on the Web.
The potential objective of the system is to increase the connectivity between the instructor and the student by offering the student the opportunity to answer assessments, evaluate the lecture content and send inquires to the instructor after class.
