Two different geometrical arrangements of neutron source buried landmine and detector with and without carbon reflector were modeled. Monte Carlo calculation of elastically Backscattered (EBS) neutrons from hidden land-mines were conducted. The results obtained show that the sensitivity of elastically backscattered neutrons (EBS) for landmines detection strongly depends on the type of the source used and the presence or absence of a carbon reflector.
