Abstract
The University of Vigo currently has a staff of 1821 teachers, 939 are asssitants professors, 872 official professors and 10 visitor professors. The university is aware of the importance of educational activities that their teachers develop at the Colleges and University Departments and so, the need to acknowledge their work. To encourage and stimulate the initiatives of evaluation and improvement of education, the procedure Docentia for the evaluation of the educational activity of teachers has been launched.
