Conference Title: 2017 International Conference on Electrical and Computing Technologies and Applications (ICECTA) Conference Start Date: 2017, Nov. 21 Conference End Date: 2017, Nov. 23 Conference Location: Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates In this paper, we measure and evaluate the NIR absorption of bio-fluids; in particular, the homemade and different commercial brands of orange juice. The purpose is to study the NIR-spectrum to differentiate between commercial brands and natural juices. A complete optical measurement setup is built, where different juice responses are measured under NIR excitant in a non-controlled environment. The measurement results show the possibility of discriminating a pure natural juice from the commercial brands in the band between 1461 to 1635nm. Analysis using correlation coefficient between the spectrum of natural juice and that of six commercial brands reveal that only one brand is close to the natural juice while the others are of far distance.
