A neuro fuzzy controller is designed to improve damping and ride quality of a semi-active car suspension system. A quarter-car model which includes an actuator for active control is used to model the system. Simulations show that the proposed controller improves both suspension travel and ride quality in terms of both vehicle acceleration and dynamic tire loading.
