Abstract
Bioassay guided fractionation of the ethanolic extract of
Asphodelus microcarpus
Salzm.et Viv. (Xanthorrhoeaceae or Asphodelaceae) resulted in the isolation of four new compounds identified as asphodosides A-D. The isolated metabolites showed high binding affinity to cannabinoid receptors (subtype CB1 and CB2).
