Abstract
Conference Title: 2017 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting Conference Start Date: 2017, July 9 Conference End Date: 2017, July 14 Conference Location: San Diego, CA, USA A miniaturized antenna design is proposed in this paper with size of 3.5 × 3.5 × 1.5 mm3 for biomedical sensors at low frequency, in low GHz range. The antenna's performance was studied on a layered tissue model, consisting of skin and fat layers. High and low dielectric constant substrates, Alumina 99.5% and Roger RT 5880, were used to observe to what extent the resonance frequency shifts to lower values. The antenna is linear polarized with low cross polarization, broadside radiation and gain higher than −10 dBi.
