Abstract
Conference Title: 2017 Conference on Information and Communication Technology (CICT) Conference Start Date: 2017, Nov. 3 Conference End Date: 2017, Nov. 5 Conference Location: Gwalior, India In this paper performance analysis of space frequency block codes (SFBC) and maximum ratio receiver combining (MRRC) is compared for long term evolution (LTE) Release 9 network in the presence of co-channel interference (CCI). The performance of transmit diversity scheme i.e., SFBC in the downlink is analyzed with respect to the receiver diversity technique MRRC and also with respect to the single antenna system over MIMO fading channels. Average bit error rate is evaluated to determine the system throughput. LTE channel models like extended vehicular channel and extended typical urban channels are considered as they are more prone to CCI for evaluating the performance of diversity schemes for different Doppler frequencies. Useful insights are drawn from the simulation results.
